The St. Johns County Public Library System has announced that all six branch libraries, including the Bartram Trail Branch Library and the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, now offer curbside service for patrons who wish to place and pickup holds from the library. Curbside Service is offered on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

“Our libraries form an integral cornerstone in the structure of our community,” said Library Director Debra Rhodes Gibson. “Working with County Administration, we are now able to safely begin the phasing back in of essential library services to the public.”

While the actual library buildings remain closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, patrons are able to select items online, or call for a specific item to be placed on hold. When items are ready for pickup, patrons follow a simple and safe contactless procedure to pick up holds with Curbside Service.

“Curbside Service will provide safe access to the physical materials of the library system,” Gibson said. “There has been no interruption of access to e-materials, and that service continues to be available as it was before we closed our buildings.”

Curbside Service enables patrons to once again have safe access to library materials and is in operation at all St. Johns County Public Library System branches.
