Proposed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodplain maps are now available for review at http://bit.ly/29t5Cwy.

Released in May, the proposed updates are based on results of a recent floodplain study and portions of St. Johns County may have new flood zone designations, which can impact homeowner flood insurance policies and rates. Residents and business owners are encouraged to review the proposed updates to determine the potential status of their property.

FEMA will conduct a public meeting in the near future for residents to learn about the new flood zone and the flood zone appeal process
