    Peter Max: The Retrospective 1960-2019A newly-curated collection of artist legend, Peter Max’s exquisite paintings will be on exhibition and available for acquisition in a presentation at Gallery 725, Jacksonville’s premier fine art gallery. Previews of the exhibition begin on Saturday, February 16 with a special Uncrating event planned on Friday, February 15 from 6-8 pm. There are two very special gallery receptions planned on Saturday, February 23 from 5-8 pm and Sunday, February 24 from 1–3 pm. All artworks are on exhibition and available for acquisition. All events are complimentary and open to the public however RSVP’s are required: 904-345-9320 or gallery725@gmail.com.     JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - JANUARY 9, 2019 - The Jacksonville Children's Chorus (JCC) presents the Tenth Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing" Concert. The concert will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2 p.m., Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church located at 4001 Hendricks Avenue in Jacksonville.All of the JCC performance choirs will take the stage, joined by their special guests, the Tuskegee University Golden Voices (pictured above). This famous university choir is an organization steeped in more than a century of pride and the richest of choral traditions. Since its inception, the Tuskegee University Golden Voices has served as an artistic model while carving its place in American history.
    Co-emcees for the concert will be Aundra Wallace, President of JAXUSA Partnership, and Dr. Barbara Darby former Campus President of the Florida State College at Jacksonville."We are excited to celebrate 10 years presenting our 'Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing' concert to the Jacksonville community and helping to promote unity through song." said Darren Dailey, President and Artistic Director, Jacksonville Children's Chorus.The mission of the Jacksonville Children's Chorus is to provide high-quality choral music educational opportunities for children of diverse backgrounds, fostering teamwork, self-discipline, accomplishment and pride while filling an important cultural need in the community and sharing the beauty of the choral art form through artistically excellent performances.Tickets for the event are $20 and may be purchased online at JaxChildrensChorus.org or by phone at 904-353-1636, ext. 2.
