    Summer Reading and Math Volunteer Opportunities

     If you are willing to spend a little time this summer helping others, there is an opportunity waiting for you!  RSVP of St. Johns County is looking for community members to assist once a week in the summer reading or algebra programs in the St. Johns County School District.  Hours are flexible, and even if you are traveling this summer you can help out while you are in town.

     Orientation for reading volunteers is Thursday, June 6 from 10:30 a.m. – noon at the Fullerwood Auditorium, 10 Hildreth Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32084.  Orientation for algebra volunteers is Monday, June 24 from 11 a.m. – noon at St. Augustine High School, 3205 Varella Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084.

    “There are students who can greatly benefit from the help of those willing to give just a small amount of their time,” said Cheryl Freeman, RSVP director.  “Assistance from community volunteers can make all the difference in helping these students succeed.”
