Ocean Palms Elementary School in Ponte Vedra Beach held its annual Meet the Teacher event on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Students and their families were welcomed by their former teachers, met their new teachers and visited informational tables staffed by Parent Teacher Organization volunteers, who organized a book fair, school spirit apparel boutique and school supply purchases.
Jessica Richardson begins her third year as principal at Ocean Palms to 939 registered students and counting. She welcomed 626 and 776 students on opening days in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Ocean Palms Elementary, part of the St. Johns County School District, is now beginning its 20th year.
