A native of Atlanta, Ga., Jill DAmato and her family moved to Nocatee in 2014. A chemical engineering graduate of Clemson University, DAmato is motivated and passionate about her community and helping others. She gives her time freely to Ocean Palms Elementary and is the chair of St. Johns CARES Kids, formerly Helping Hands of Nocatee. DAmato and her husband have recently started a new company together and they are proud parents of two boys, aged six and nine.
- What do you enjoy most about living in the Nocatee community?
Nocatee is a wonderful place to raise a family. We enjoy the neighborhood events and it’s so easy to get to know neighbors. The people really look out for each other here.
- What is the most rewarding aspect of your volunteer work?
I value helping others, and I love the sense of pride that comes when you are able to help people. St. Johns CARES Kids encourages children to be involved in service to others. It empowers them to give and it helps them understand that with small acts of kindness, great things can happen. The children also gain awareness. Many kids have no idea about those less fortunate. To see their eyes open wider and watch them gain an appreciative heart, that is a wonderful gift.
- Can you tell me about your new company, Digital Solution Partners?
Digital Solution Partners works with Fortune 500 companies to maximize the return on their marketing investments on the web. We drive business key performance indicators (KPIs) by combining customer insights, technical know-how and industry expertise.
- When not working or volunteering, how do you enjoy spending your time?
I’m a member of the Jacksonville Genealogical Society and I love it. I enjoy family photography and I play tennis when I have time.
- Any New Year’s resolutions?
I stay so busy. I would like to step back and really evaluate how I spend my time. Maybe make a little more time for me. With the kids, family, volunteering and other things, I sometimes neglect myself.
