The Bolles School sophomore Hannah Lee of Ponte Vedra Beach received a third place award at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, held May 9 – 14 in Phoenix, Ariz. It is the first time in school history a Bolles student has placed at the prestigious international competition.

Lee received third place in the Animal Sciences category for her project, “Spotted Wing Drosophila, Baiting and Trapping.” Lee was one of 1,700 students from more than 70 countries presenting projects at the science fair.

“This has been a great science fair year for Bolles,” said Bolles science teacher Kathryn Halloran, Ph.D. “We are thrilled with what Hannah has accomplished.”
