Ponte Vedra girls’ cross country team finishes season strong
Sophomore Claire Moritz and senior Abby Reimer, who posted first and third place finishes respectively, led the Ponte Vedra High School girls’ cross country team to the school’s first victory at the district competition on Oct. 24. At regionals on Oct. 31, the team placed third overall and Moritz took first place individually. Based on the team’s performance, they qualified for the state meet in Tallahassee on Nov. 7. The Sharks finished in fourth place and Moritz earned fifth place overall with a new school record of 18.33, the fastest underclassman in 3A states. Photo courtesy Willow Logue
