Get to Know … Josh Rogers

Growing up in Pensacola, Josh Rogers would often make his way to the Jacksonville area in search of better surfing conditions. When his high school sweetheart, Sarah, decided on nursing school at the University of North Florida, he followed her east and earned his degree in business management from UNF. The two have been married for 12 years and live in the Bartram area of Mandarin. They have four sons, often referred to as the “Wolfpack,” ranging in age from two to nine years and a foster daughter whom they adore.

Get to Know … Megan Prangley

A 2015 graduate of Creekside High School, Megan Prangley grew up in St. Johns County. She has two sisters and her parents, Mike and Julie Prangley, still reside in St. Johns. Currently a senior at Georgia Southern University, Prangley accepted scholarships for cross country/track and field and also for her academic success. She is triple majoring in International Studies, Spanish and Chinese.

Get to Know … Ryan Dexter

Where were you at 4 a.m. this morning? Most likely in the sack. Not so with Ryan Dexter. The alarm clock’s bell signals the start of his weekday schedule (6 a.m. on weekends). He scampers out of the bed, finds his running gear, then heads out the door to join three other guys as they do their ritual eight-mile run through Nocatee. The “RunNoc” group is often joined by Dexter’s faithful four footed Weimaraner, Brody. Dexter believes this early routine physically and mentally preps him for the day’s challenges.

Get to Know … Karl Kennell

Always passionate about people and mesmerized by the adventures and life tales that others have to share, Karl Kennell has many inspiring stories of his own. He grew up in Sarasota, Fla. and in the 1970s he moved to Los Angeles primarily to pursue his passion of theatre work, while also continuing his career working in building and development. He later retired into travel marketing.

Get to Know … Deborah Luke

Deborah Luke is a Jacksonville native who has served in the Duval and Clay county school systems for 43 years. She is a graduate of Englewood High School and the University of Florida. Luke has spent her career in elementary education, teaching young children within four different Duval County schools and one Clay County school. Although many of her days are still filled with educating as a substitute teacher, she retired from Duval County in 2009 and from Clay County in 2016. She and her late husband of 32 years, Donald, began calling Mandarin home 35 years ago and the two have one son, Justin. Luke was recently named Educator of the Year by the Jacksonville Elk Lodge #221, an honor that she holds dear.
