Get to Know … Doug Nunnery

Doug Nunnery’s Gator roots run deep — not only did he earn his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Florida, but he grew up in Gainesville. His father was a professor and his mother worked in the athletic department. After graduation, he took a job in Jacksonville with Prudential in its IT department. He ultimately earned his MBA at the University of North Florida while still working full time at Prudential.

Get to Know … Janice Cushman

If you are a parishioner at Nocatee’s Saint John Paul II Catholic church, you’ve seen Janice Cushman leading a choir and serving as Cantor at Sunday services. As a local resident she is often recognized and greeted by congregation members while shopping at Publix, dining out at M Shack, and relaxing at the Splash Park.
She and her family relocated from Pittsburgh four years ago, when husband Ron took a new job with CSX. She works as a guidance counselor at Pedro Menendez High School in St. Augustine and is the mother of two teens in the St. Johns County School District. Advising and coaching young clients is close to her heart as she has always valued the helping profession; however, music and song may be closest to her soul.

Get to Know … Susie Marshall

Susie Marshall is a Jacksonville native who has enjoyed living in the Mandarin area since 1973. She graduated from Lee High School and then Florida State University with a degree in elementary education. Marshall served in the Duval County school system for well over 40 years. She passionately worked inside the classroom and later in her career, she worked with community education and as supervisor over all extended day programs. Marshall is currently serving her second term as president of the Mandarin Women’s Club, an honor in which she takes great pride and joy. She also gives her time volunteering with hospice care. With her daughter, son-in-law and grandson living nearby, Marshall loves spending time with her family.

Get to Know … Kimberly Kalke

With a long family history in the Atlanta area, Kimberly Kalke and her family waited until retirement to move to St. Augustine only one year ago. Kalke admired the atmosphere and beaches of St. Johns County for many years of vacationing before the move south. A lifelong community advocate, Kalke is passionate about serving her community and making a difference. She was an active volunteer in a Georgia sexual assault center and decided to complete the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Civilian Law Enforcement Academy, which continues to open other doors for contributing to the community. Kalke has organized a successful neighborhood watch program with 233 members and eight block captains in St. Johns Golf and Country Club.

Get to Know … Susan Schjelderup

Prior to relocating to Del Webb, Susan Schjelderup enjoyed a career with General Dynamics Information Technology, supporting the United States Senate. Her primary work tools were spreadsheets, process flowcharts, auditing to technical standards, and measurements for process re-engineering, perfect for her analytical brain. She continues to use these tools to address a variety of issues in her retirement life.
