On Thursday, April 3, Crown Point Elementary School held a cultural arts night in celebration of artwork created by the students. The event featured huge displays of artwork from around the world, which included posters and exhibits reflecting different cultural traditions from artifacts, food, dances, and historical contexts. Each exhibit provided a cultural arts activity for students to perform.
The students enjoyed making wearable samurai helmets from two-toned origami paper, fiesta flowers, drawing and coloring flags from around the world. Students also made African necklaces and Italian master chef hats. The event demonstrated an appreciation of various cultures, while highlighting the importance of fostering a sense of community within the Crown Point family.
