Crown Point teachers and staff hosted a Family Math Night on Thursday, Feb. 17. From Pre-K to fifth grade, Crown Point Panthers engaged in a variety of hands-on and engaging math activities. Pre-K students rolled dice, counted the numbers, and matched the dots with numbers on the activity board. First graders were tasked with finding as many ways as they could to add up to a certain number. They also worked on filling out a hundreds chart. The Shark Station was staffed by second grade teachers. The second-grade students had fun measuring sharks of varied sizes. Third graders played multiplication bingo using smarties as their markers. Fourth graders worked on geometry and fifth graders played a game on Kahoot featuring 10 math questions where students and their parents competed against each other for the top score.
