The students of Landrum Middle School made Valentine’s Day extra special for children at Wolfson Children’s Hospital by collecting and donating more than 200 brand-new pajamas and more than 200 teddy bears. To help spread the word, Landrum’s Engaged Citizenship students created eye-catching posters that promoted the initiative, encouraging their peers to participate and contribute to the cause. Their efforts played a key role in the overwhelming support received from the school community.
The donation was personally delivered to the hospital by Landrum Middle School Principal Troy Kasting, along with Judy Manley and eighth-grade students Payton Manley and Lilly Ritchie. The hospital staff was overjoyed by the incredible response and the outpouring of kindness from Landrum students and families.
“This initiative is a wonderful reflection of the compassion and generosity of our students and families,” said Kasting. “Knowing that we were able to bring a little extra comfort to children in the hospital is truly rewarding.”
