Mandarin Museum will host its 2024 Winter Celebration presented by TC Federal Bank on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. throughout the museum and Walter Jones Historical Park, located at 11964 Mandarin Road. Admission is free.
“We are excited to host this beloved community event,” said Brittany Cohill, executive director at Mandarin Museum. “Each year we hear from families that annual attendance is part of their holiday tradition.”
Since 1999, this annual event has brought the community together for a festive day filled with fun, creativity, and holiday cheer. In addition to museum exhibits and reenactors, attendees can look forward to a free photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus, pony rides (and a full size horse for older children), games and crafts. Live entertainment from community groups will take place throughout the event on the 1875 Farmhouse front porch and area non-profit organizations will be on hand to share information.
All historic buildings in the park will be open for tours and attendees will be able to meet the Maple Leaf divers. Mandarin Frogs will be for sale as well.
“There will be seasonal treats and an exciting gift card raffle featuring local businesses and restaurants,” Cohill said.
