Twin Lakes Academy Elementary School has been selected to participate in the Discover Duval tours on Thursday, May 5 from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

As part of its Parent Academy, the school district is providing the community this opportunity to explore its schools and great educational programs through a Discover Duval Schools tour. These tours offer citizens a closer look into the successes and challenges of Duval County Public Schools and present an opportunity to better understand its mission of providing educational excellence in every school, in every classroom, for every student, every day.

During the 90-minute session, participants will visit the campus, talk with students and faculty members, learn about unique and innovative program(s) within the school and determine their interests in engaging in public education activities. Participants will also learn more about how schools play a critical role in the health, well-being and future of an entire community.

The 90-minute session at Twin Lakes will include a welcome address by Principal Denise Robertson, a PowerPoint display of the school’s Choice Theme, a physical display of artifacts that guests can tour, a musical presentation, speeches by both the student council president and National Elementary Honor Society president as well as classroom tours.

Twin Lakes Academy Elementary is located at 8000 Point Meadows Drive.  Call (904) 538-0238 for more information.
