mail@bradfordvillebugle.comThe annual Tallahassee Turkey Trot will take place Thanksgiving morning at 4055 Esplanade Way, between Merchants Row and Shumard Oak Boulevard. The 1-Mile Race begins at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K, 10K, and 15K races at 8:30 a.m. All events will conclude by 10:30 a.m.
Participants can pick up race numbers and shirts at the Turkey Trot Festival on Sunday, Nov. 23, from 1:30–5 p.m. at Goodwood Museum & Gardens, 1600 Miccosukee Road. Additional registration and pickup will be available Nov. 24–26 at Premier Health and Fitness Center. Hours are 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Wednesday. Limited registration and pickup will be available on race morning near the flagpole.
Runners who register by Nov. 16 will receive the best pricing and a guaranteed shirt size. Courses are USATF certified and chip-timed, with the start and finish lines located on Esplanade Way. The 5K, 10K, and 15K share the same starting point, separating at designated course markers.
Participants are asked to line up by pace, with designated corrals for runners at 6:30 and 8:00 minutes per mile. Strollers must begin near the back, and animals are not permitted except for service dogs.
The 1-Mile Turkey Gobbler begins at 8 a.m. and follows a flat, rectangular route. The 5K course loops around Central Park Lake, while the 10K and 15K courses extend farther through Grove Park Drive, Terrebonne Drive, and School House Road. Volunteers will assist runners at course splits and finish lines.
