The No Excuses Running Club girls’ team claimed the Florida Middle School girls’ team track “State Champions” title at this year’s Florida Middle School Track State Championship on May 13 in Bradenton, Florida. Sydney Johnson earned 22 points for the club: second in the 1500, third in the 3000, sixth in the 800m, first in 800 relay and four medals. Avery Hartley earned 20 points: second in the 3000, third in the 1500m, eighth in the 800m, first in the 800 relay and four medals.
EK Longmire, Sydney Johnson, Lilly Potts and Avery Hartley took gold in the 800 relay earning 10 team points: State Champions!
Camille Andrews earned silver in pole vault, earning eight points, and Eva Delaney earned one point in the 1500m.
The No Excuses girls team has great depth as their elementary runners, Brianna Motycka and Piper Ross earned top marks as well. Motycka is the State Champion in the 1500 as well as earning second place medal in the 800m. Ross earned fourth in the 800 and fourth in the 1500m.
Now the No Excuses girls team have their eyes focused on their next goal: the 2023 Cross Country Championship season.
