West Nassau High School hosted the Warrior Warm Up cheer competition on Saturday, and Yulee and Fernandina Beach competed.
The Yulee varsity cheer squad placed first in cheer and third in medium tumbling. The junior varsity was second in game day.
“I was really proud of my girls both JV and varsity teams this past Saturday,” said Misty Turner, cheer coach at Yulee. “They have been working so hard and have really become such a sisterhood/family. We made a few minor mistakes, which we are diligently working hard on this week to correct.”
The Fernandina Beach High School varsity and junior varsity squads placed third in their divisions.
“It was fun, and the girls definitely learned a lot,” said FBHS cheer coach Jensen Williams.
Yulee and FBHS compete Saturday in the Wildcat Scratch Match at Baker County High School.
“We are super excited to not just compete together again this weekend, but to support cheer on Nassau County Sister Cheer Programs in these competitions,” Turner said.
