Five months of training paid off for the No Excuses Running Club girls’ and boys’ team again for the 2023 Cross Country season, with both teams earning the title of Middle School Club Cross Country State Champions. When all cross country categories were combined, the No Excuses girls’ team came out as overall Florida MS XC State Champions for two consecutive years. Sydney Johnson, Brianna Motycka, Avery Hartley, Eva Delaney, Brynn Jenkins, Kaitlyn Chapman, and Amelia Flood comprised the girls’ Elite Team while Dominic Johnson, Jordan Eriksen, Luke Janke, Mathew Ishee, Daniel Itkin, Mathew Hurski, Harrison Lafser, Chase Petrick, Austin Courson, and Graham Moore comprised the boys’ Elite Team. Both teams are excited to build on the training from the XC season to train for success on the track beginning early January.
