Scouting builds leadership and planning skills in boys, and ultimately the organization benefits its community. Boy Scouts participate in numerous hours of community service and they earn merit badges as they develop skills. They learn to become self-sufficient with camping, cooking, fishing, hiking, and other skills while making lasting friendships.

Chartered in 1989, Troop 288 has been the home of 101 scouts to have earned the Eagle Scout rank. Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church is home to Troop 288. Visit www.troop288PVB.org for more information about Troop 288 or scouting.org for more information about the Boy Scouts of America.
