On Jan. 19, PVPV/Rawlings Principal Caty Van Housen along with PTO President Emily Stephens, teachers and school staff, representatives from St. Johns County, parents and students participated in officially cutting the ribbon and breaking in the new campus playground. The new equipment was completely funded with donations raised at the school’s annual Turtle Trot, presented by PTO and community partner Coastal Luxury Outdoors.

Parents, students and school staff cited improving outdoor recess areas as a top priority for this school year. PTO volunteers worked closely with the manufacturer to customize the playground to meet the needs of the students.
