Boy Scout Troop 280 recently held elections for Order of the Arrow. Scouts are eligible to join this prestigious group if they hold the first class rank and have 15 nights of camping. The purpose of Order of the Arrow is to promote responsible outdoor adventure, develop leaders, and make the scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others. Order of the Arrow’s mission is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the Boy Scouts of America through positive youth leadership under guidance of selected capable adults.

For more than 100 years, the Order of the Arrow has recognized Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well.

The Order of the Arrow then went on their quarterly fellowship campout. The weekend was time for fellowship, inducting new members and conducting service projects by members. Dylan and Jacob completed their ordeal to become members.
