Members of the elite swim team from Planet Swim Aquatics in Ponte Vedra Beach attended summer swim camp in Omaha, Neb. during the Olympic Swim Trials, held June 29 – July 3. Planet Swim’s elite team was joined in Omaha by 14 Brazilian elite swimmers.

Led by Coach Gus Calado and Coach Alex Indiani, the team trained each day for two hours at the private Brownell-Talbot High School Theisen indoor swimming pool.

Swim training was followed by team activities that included attendance each night at the USA Olympic Swim Trials held at the CenturyLink Center in downtown Omaha. The team saw some excellent swimming including the dual in the pool by Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte in the men’s 200 IM, Ryan Murphy in the 200 back and Caeleb Dressel in the 50 and 100 free.

After the Omaha swim camp, the Brazilian elite swimmers continued their camp the week of July 5 – July 9 at the Planet Swim pool in Ponte Vedra Beach.
