The St. Augustine Art Association turns the tables on museum etiquette this month by inviting visitors to touch the artwork!
The 16th Annual Tactile Art Show will be on display at 22 Marine Street, September 1 – October 1, 2017. The exhibit of all touchable art includes sculptures, woodworks, mixed media, ceramics, fiber pieces and interactive art created by professional and emerging artists. Each piece has a Braille sign, produced by students from Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB), under the direction of Nancy Berger, Braille Specialist.
The 16th Annual Tactile Art Show is open free to the public. St. Augustine Art Association gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. and on Sundays, 2 to 5 p.m. Group tours are available by calling (904) 824-2310.
